The YIH Brotherhood is a dynamic and inclusive group that brings together men of all ages through friendship, service, learning, and community spirit. With a wide variety of events and programs throughout the year, there’s something for everyone – whether you’re interested in spiritual connection, hands-on projects, sports, or simply spending time with great people.
A hallmark of our programming is the Kol HaNe’arim Chuppah, initiated by Shlomo Hochbaum, featuring YIH’s stunning, custom-embroidered tallit that transforms into a chuppah under which hundreds of children gather for an unforgettable Simchat Torah aliyah. Families can permanently inscribe their children’s names on the chuppah, creating a cherished, lasting legacy.
Brotherhood also hosts outings to professional sporting events, including Miami Marlins baseball games and Florida Panthers hockey nights, as well as running our own shul basketball and baseball teams.
Other beloved traditions include the Simchat Torah Herring Kiddush, founded by Charlie Zablotsky, z”l, where community members come together to prepare legendary herring recipes for all to enjoy, and the Big Sh’Bang – our spirited Simchat Beit HaShoeiva celebration in the sukkah, filled with music, food, and ruach.
Additional events include:
- Lulav & Etrog sales
- Rosh Chodesh Men’s Tisch
- Friday Night Onegs & Tisches
- Casino Night
- And much more!
The Brotherhood is where connection happens. Join us and be part of something meaningful, memorable, and fun.
