He went on to receive Kabbalah in sheḥita and lung inspection from Rabbi Eliyahu Ben Haim, Sephardic Rosh Yeshiva of Yeshiva University and Av Bet Din of BaDaTz Mekor Haim in Queens. In addition, he is a certified Mohel, having completed his training at the London School of Circumcision.
Most recently, Rabbi Berdugo completed the Dayanut program for Yadin Yadin through the Eretz Hemdah Institute of Jerusalem and the Montefiore Endowment, earning approbation from Rabbi Shlomo Moshe Amar, former Chief Rabbi of Israel and Jerusalem.
Continuing in the distinguished tradition of the Berdugo family rabbanim, Rabbi Berdugo has authored numerous halakhic writings, including responsa on a wide range of contemporary issues. Deeply inspired by the early Rishonim of Andalusia, he has also translated several of their works, making their insights more accessible to today’s learners.
